Royal Enfield Bullet Electra is a burly vehicle. A
new version of Bullet Electra, it flaunts great looks with a teardrop
fuel tank that can store 14.4 liters of fuel. The clunky lid adds style
to the bike. The steely body with some pretty colors adds some nice
contrast to Electra.
Looks and Styling
The bike comes in sparkling new dual-tone paint. Though the profile
borrows heavily from the old Bullet, the multi- reflector equipped lamps
add modern touch to it. There are more improvements like ribbed PVC
shrouding for the wiring harness that replaces insulating tape and a
more perceptible tail-lamp.
Control and Comfort
The bike is equipped with gas filled rear shock-absorbers which enable
Electra 5S to tackle potholes effectively. Glass-wool-fitted silencer in
the bike reduces heat transmission. Vutting edge features such as
5-speed gearbox with left gearshift, push button start, and a Digital
Transistor Coil Ignition make it a better riding experience. Electra 5S
has innovative features like 5-speed gearbox with left gearshift, push
button start, and a Digital Transistor Coil Ignition. The gearbox sports
closer-packed internal ratios due to the new cog, with the fifth gear
ratio remaining identical to fourth gear on the previous bike.
It has new left-foot-operated heel-and-toe gear lever, which was on the
right side in Electra. The ignition system is transistor coil-actuated,
while starting the Electra has now become easier due to the
self-starter. The bike has tall 19-inch rims, and a long 1370mm
wheelbase. Straight-line stability comes naturally to Electra 5S. The
friendly riding position has adequate room for heavy as well as tall
riders. Gas filled rear shock-absorbers enable the bike to glide
smoothly over potholes. The motor has been retuned to make it
environment friendly.
Engine
The bike is equipped with single cylinder 4-stoke 350 cc engine that
produces a peak power of 18 bhp @ 5000 rpm and a maximum torque of 32 Nm
@ 3000 rpm. The bike has top speed of 108 kmph and it can reach the
velocity of 60kph in 6.73seconds. The vehicle makes the mileage of
approximate 40km/l.
