Audi in India

Audi is a manufacturer of exquisite premium luxury cars, catering the elite and rich class of consumers. In the year 2007, a division of Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd. (Mumbai) launched Audi India. After conquering the Chinese Automobile Markets, the manufacturer decided to launch its manufacturing units in India, in collaboration with their sister concern Skoda which has manufacturing units in India. Right now fully imported parts of Audi cars are assembled at the Aurangabad plant of Skoda Auto.

Audi is a German based company and is also enlisted among the oldest car manufacturing companies of Germany. The Badge of Audi is personified by the famous rings of Audi. In the year 1932 four prominent car manufacturing companies of Germany, namely Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer consolidated to form a new company Audi AG. The famous four rings stands for these four companies.
