Engine
Fiat Petra Petrol has 4 cylinder front transversal 16 valves engine having Double Overhead Cam Shaft (DOHC) and producing maximum torque of 14kgm at 4250 rpm. It is front drive with manual 5-speed gearbox.
The diesel version has 4 in line front transversal 8 valves engine with Single Overhead Cam Shaft (SOHC) and producing maximum torque of 12.2 kgm at 2500 rpm.
Safety
All variants of Fiat Petra have dual diagonally split and servo assisted hydraulic braking system. The car has ventilated disc brakes at the front and self adjustable drum brakes at the rear.
