There is a very fine line that differentiates class from power. With cars, it is often noticed that the more the power, the lesser the class and more the class, the lesser the power. However, with the Mercedes Benz S-Class, everything changes. The company with the S-Class has managed to marry off class to power and the end result is there for the whole world to lust after. The machine by itself is backed by a surprisingly powerful engine, astounding looks and state-of-the-art features, its therefore no surprise then that the car is as popular as it is. With the S-Class, it is more about luxury and a lot less about comfort. Once in the car, you are as good as royalty riding your way round town in a palace on wheels. The S-Class hit Indian roads way back in the year 2000. From then on up until now the car has been the best at attracting quite a lot of attention, no doubts about it.
Design & Style
One look at the S-Class and you are going to agree that the car makes for an excessively impressive sight. The headlamps of the latest version of the car have been touched upon to appeal to a new set of customers. The body of the car flows undisturbed and modifications have been made at the front and the side sills. The rear diffuser too has not been spared, making the car look only that much more attractive. Daytime running lights have been added to the car along with slight changes made in the tail lights and mirrors. The car also comes complete with chrome parts that are coated with charcoal-gray matte film. The interiors of the Mercedes Benz S-Class are a class apart, what with electronically adjustable seats that make your journeys on busy streets seem like a trip to the clouds. In other words, to say that the seats have been improved would be saying too less. The lumbar portion of the backrest comes with air chambers and in order to enhance comfort, the part of the backrest on which you are supposed to rest your shoulders has been made adjustable too. LEDs have been installed under the cars wood trim, in the door linings and on the dashboard. This has been done to provide the interiors with enough light. The S-Class also boasts of a multifunction steering wheel and a hip instrument cluster.
Safety
With the Mercedes Benz S-Class, you dont need to worry much about your safety, but this does not mean you compete for the title of the Rashest Driver on the Road. The advanced safety features of the S-Class include eight front airbags that in turn comprise front airbags, full-length head-curtain airbags, and side-impact airbags at the front and back of the car. Apart from standard safety features that come with the car, the Attention Assist driver drowsiness monitor stands out as the most prominent. This feature alerts the driver if it seems like he is driving under the influence of sleep. Other mentionable safety features are the Night View Assist Plus, a Brake Assist System and a Pre-Safe System.
