The advanced safety features of the S-Class include eight front airbags that in turn comprise front airbags, full-length head-curtain airbags, and side-impact airbags at the front and back of the car. Apart from standard safety features that come with the car, the �Attention Assist� driver drowsiness monitor stands out as the most prominent. This feature alerts the driver if it seems like he is driving �under the influence of sleep�. Other mentionable safety features are the �Night View Assist Plus�, a Brake Assist System� and a �Pre-Safe System�.

Engine
The S 350L variant of the Mercedes Benz S-Class comes with a powerful V6 petrol engine that churns out a maximum power of 272 HP @ 6300 rpm and a peak torque of 345 Nm @ 4500 rpm. The S 500L variant of the Mercedes Benz comes with a V8 engine that promises a power output of 388 hp @ 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 530 Nm @ 2800 @ 4800 rpm. The S320 CDI L boasts of a V6 engine that is highly capable of generating a power of 210 hp @ 4000 rpm and a torque of 490 Nm @ 1600-1800 rpm. The S63 AMG variant of the S-Class comes with a V8 engine that dishes out power of 525 hp @ 6800 rpm and a torque of 630 Nm @ 5200 rpm.

Variants & Price
When you are looking at the Indian market, there are only two Mercedes Benz S-Class options you can easily get your hands on. These two options are the S 500L (Petrol) and the S 350L (Petrol). The cars come with a price tag that can range from anything between Rs. 70 lakhs to Rs. 90 lakhs.
