Skoda Yeti

�The Skoda Yeti has been designed to perform. An intelligent 4x4, it doesn't just look the part of a thoroughbred off-roader, it backs it up with its performance as well�. That�s how the company behind the creation of this dazzling-looking beast describes it. Launched in mid-November of 2010, Yeti promises to offer a unique mix of safety, functionality, and comfort in a signature design. The word �Yeti� means abominable snowman said to live in the Himalayas, and the fact that only a handful claimed to have seen the creature is the reason why Skoda Auto India decided to name this crossbreed between the large hatchbacks and the soft roaders as Yeti. Something like this has not been seen in the Indian markets up until its launch. Design & Comfort
As it is a crossover between a hatchback and a soft roader, the visual appeal of the car would take some getting used to. A glance from the front would give an unmistakable look of a hatchback, but the rear would point out to its utilitarian functionalities. A large pair of spotlights overlapping the headlights, a protective skid plate, beefy bumpers, and 16-inch wheels; all complement well to Yeti�s hatchback side of the design. Use of high quality materials and spectacular equipments and smart ergonomics further alleviate the comfort level of Yeti. The front seats provide for a comfortable driving experience and the rear seats slide forwards and backwards to make room for bulky luggage. The lovely under thigh support and adjustable backrest recline further adding icing to the cake.

Engine
Yeti has been loaded with turbocharged diesel engine of 2.0 Litre TDI CR, 4 cylinders and 16 valves Double overhead Camshafts (DOHC) with high pressure direct injection system. This powerful engine can deliver a maximum power of 140 Bhp @ 4200 rpm and a maximum torque of 320 nm @ 1750-2500 rpm. It is also bundled with self aligning blades, liquid cooling system, and the off-road features that are sure to make your journey a memorable one.

Safety
Skoda Yeti comes with uncompromised safety features like Hill Descent Control, Drive Off Assistance, Off Road Traction Control, Anti-Lock Braking System, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Electronic Differential Lock, Rough Road Package, Hill Hold Control, Fog Lamps with corner lights, Parktronic, Active Front Head Restraints, and Six airbags. With such a bundle of features, it�s evident that Skoda Auto is hell bent on providing its customers cum passengers with a scratch-proof driving experience.

Variants & Price
Skoda Yeti Ambiente and Skoda Yeti Elegance are the two variants in which the car is available. You can opt from the six shades: Mato Brown, Corrida Brown, Brilliant Silver, Magic Black, Candy White, and Aqua Mist. The price ranges from 15 lacs to 17 lacs.
