Kinetic has become synonymous with the Indian
gearless scooter segment. Kinetic 4S, a spruced-up version of the
two-stroke Kinetic Zoom, is a descendant of the iconic Kinetic scooter.
Tailor-made for the needs of the city commuter, the scooter is equipped
with all modern gadgets.
Looks and Styling
Styling of the 4S is drawn on the original design of the Zoom, but
efforts have been made to improve the overall appeal. Headlamps and turn
indicators are finished in clear lens type glass, the speedometer design
layout is new and there are stylish touches for the body panels and a
new set of decals.
Control and Comfort
The scooter comes with improved performance along with better emission,
noise or vibration. The company is also offering puncture resistant
tyres as standard fitment and has even offers a spare stepney tyre as
part of the package. The low center of gravity means that it offers a
stable ride. Its sturdy, metal body lends proper support to it. Its
cutting edge technology and new age looks combine to give more
reliability with better appearance. Riding becomes completely hassle
free due to gear less transmission and push button start. The
two-wheeler has better speedo-graphics, a powerful head-lamp as well as
front and rear drum brakes.
Engine
The four-stroke, air-cooled, single cylinder 113.5cc engine of the 4S
churns out a peak power of 7.2 bhp at 7,500 rpm and a maximum torque of
7.7 Nm at 5,000 rpm. The engine of the Kinetic 4S has variomatic
(gearless) transmission and dual mode ignition timing. The transmission
is for sudden bursts of power while the ignition timing maximises fuel
efficiency. Spaco FSY-18, Micarb VME18 carburettor handles things well.
The Kinetic 4S's improved fuel-efficiency enables it return an
impressive mileage of 55 kpl. Its refined and technologically advanced
engine is quite fuel-efficient.
