Level 1 or First Degree of Reiki offers the beginners
a chance to receive Reiki energy for life. Each learner gets four
initiations within a span of two days or three nights. Beginner's level
or First Degree Reiki is the most important level, since the learner is
initiated to Reiki energy for life. Above and beyond the initiations,
the learner is introduced to all the aspects of Reiki through
discourses. In this introduction, the metaphysics and science of Reiki
is verified with numerous case studies.
The learners are educated about how to give self-treatments, how to
treat animals, plants and how to treat others individuals, during
critical as well as chronic situations. Practical sessions are combined
with theoretical sessions, in which learners get the chance to put
knowledge into practice and experience Reiki personally. This
educational and enjoyable workshop should be at least of 10 hours. You
need not to take any examinations or tests after the workshop, since
there is little to learn.
Indeed, you would not be given much elucidation, as what really matters
is receiving and using Reiki by placing your hands on the body. Nearly
all Reiki masters follow this philosophy and teach little in their
workshops, whilst focusing on the practical application of Reiki.
However, it has been found that if people receive a good explanation of
Reiki dynamics, it's more likely they will use the technique in a better
way. Or else, Learners usually end up using Reiki without experiencing
its fullest capacity.
For instance, there are practitioners who don't even know the notion of
regular self-treats that can act as a type of preventative medicine.
Thus, every learner should try to get maximum explanation of things
during the workshop. Most of the Reiki Masters give just essential
amount of theoretical training and then, initiate the learner to Reiki
energy. However, the format of training and other aspects of the Reiki
workshop could be different as per the acquaintance of Reiki Master and
the culture wherein Reiki is to be taught.
